- - - SK Recycles is a non-profit organization responsible for managing the recycling of household packaging and paper across Saskatchewan. Working with producers, collectors, municipalities, First Nations, Métis communities, and residents, SK Recycles ensures household materials are collected from households and depots, sorted and responsibly recycled. Our program is funded by over 550 businesses that include retailers, manufacturers and restaurants that supply packaging and paper to Saskatchewan residents, shifting costs away from homeowners.

Important information for businesses in Saskatchewan – the way recycling services are funded is changing

If your business sells or distributes packaged goods or paper to Saskatchewan residential consumers, you will need to know more about the way recycling services will be funded in the province.

A new cost-sharing initiative between businesses and municipalities, which requires producers of packaging and paper to help pay to recycle these materials, will soon be coming into effect.

MMSW has been set-up to help businesses fulfill their responsibilities under the government’s Household Packaging and Paper Stewardship Program Regulations.
