Community Expectations and Guidelines
What to expect from SK Recycles:
- Accurate, timely, and informative content about household packaging and paper recycling in Saskatchewan, including updates on accepted materials, program changes, alerts and notices regarding service disruptions and special collection initiatives, and educational content to help you understand what belongs in your bin—and what doesn’t.
- Responsive communication: Our social media accounts are monitored Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays.
- Respectful, clear responses to your questions and comments whenever possible.
- We may edit our social media posts for clarity, accuracy, and length.
SK Recycles’ community expectations:
To help foster a respectful, inclusive, and helpful environment for everyone using our channels, SK Recycles asks that users:
- Engage with us in a respectful and constructive manner.
- Ask questions, share your feedback, and participate in positive, solution-focused dialogue.

While SK Recycles welcomes a wide range of opinions, we will remove or hide comments that include:
- Profane, obscene, or threatening language or content.
- Hate speech or discriminatory remarks based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, or other personal characteristics.
- Defamatory, aggressive, or abusive comments.
- Misinformation or disinformation about recycling guidelines, SK Recycles programs, or staff.
- Unsolicited promotions, spam, or repetitive content.
- Commercial content unrelated to SK Recycles’ mandate.
- Content that may compromise public safety or security.
- Links to third-party content or personal information.
- Material that infringes copyright or intellectual property rights.
- Off-topic or disruptive posts that distract from productive community dialogue.
Individuals or organizations that repeatedly violate these guidelines may be blocked or banned without notice.
